New Book: Psychological and Behavioural Examinations in Cyber Security

Dr John McAlaney has been invited by IGI Global to co-edit a book entitled Psychological and Behavioural Examinations in Cyber Security, along with co-editors Dr Vladlena Benson from Kingston University and Dr Lara Frumkin from the University of East London.

The book will explore how psychological research can be used to inform cyber security practice, with contributions from authors from a range of background and disciplines. A number of topics will be covered including online decision making, volunteered surveillance, perceptions of privacy, hacktivist groups, online terrorism and email fraud.

In discussing these areas the book will highlight the role of psychological and behavioural factors in understanding the human element in cyber security, and how these factors can be exploited to mitigate and prevent cyber security attacks.
